Headquartered in Berkeley, Calif., LOFTAPPS is co-founded by Gary Mundell, CEO, and Remko Noteboom, CTO.

In the 90s, we were members of the original Alias|Wavefront Maya development team, the software that became the global standard for high-end interactive 3D applications, animated films, TV series, visual effects, and game production. Noteboom continues building foundational studio tools, including LOFTAPPS Resource (LOFTrs), now widely used in studio resource management.

Having worked across the M&E industry in leadership, filmmaking, and creative technology roles for over 25 years, we lived through every major tech shift in production: analog to digital, local to cloud, software to agentic orchestration. From firsthand experience, keeping film and media assets organized remains one of the toughest, most persistent challenges in production.

We launched LOFTAPPS to address the fundamental question: How can production stay aligned in the AI era when the tools never stop changing? We’ve developed our flagship product, LOFTai, to answer this challenge.

LOFTai is a production-proven, agentic AI platform forged in real AI-assisted film production. Built for film, VFX, animation, games, commercials, and enterprise teams, LOFTai captures every step, from concept to delivery, turning creative intent into structured, executable data.

VIBE Production is a new philosophy and framework introduced by LOFTAPPS built around one idea: humans express intent and the pipeline fulfills it, using agentic intelligence, with full end-to-end provenance. Every prompt, every choice, every iteration, captured, connected, and actionable. LOFTai is the operational core of VIBE Production, delivering users creative autonomy, technical consistency, and scalable collaboration in the AI-first studio.

We continue to work as creative supervisors and technical engineers on active AI-driven productions. This insight inspires our commitment to the continued development of infrastructure solutions to empower content creators with streamlined solutions to harness the chaos and unruly hellscape of data to tell their stories with precision and creativity.
